IPL Permanent Hair Reduction

The I2PL treatment is considered the Gold Standard for Permanent Hair Removal. It is also very versatile and can be used to treat active acne and blemishes, and other concerns as well as skin rejuvenation).

The I2PL machine uses short, safe bursts of light emitted from a flash lamp to treat specific skin conditions. The proprietary system very carefully controls the delivery of the light – the amount of light and speed of delivery is accurately tailored to your skin condition.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) directs high-intensity pulses of light into the skin to treat various skin problems.

IPL systems work in the same way as lasers – light energy is absorbed by certain target cells in the skin. This light energy is then transformed into heat energy, which causes damage to the target cells. Unlike lasers, however, IPL delivers many wavelengths (or colours) in each pulse of light instead of just one wavelength.

Why Choose Nordyls I2PL?

Apart from being able to permanently remove hairs, the Nordyls I2PL treats photo-rejuvenation & pigment clearance too. It uses a Selective Waveband Technology, which has extra filters to carefully control the light that reaches the skin. The light penetrates the skin better, contains only the wavelengths needed to get results, and destroys target cells without damaging normal tissue. This translates to more effective treatment, with fewer side effects and downtime.

The IPL Applicator Treats :

  • Hair removal
  • Photo rejuvenation
  • Diffused vascular lesions
  • Benign pigmented lesions
  • Active acne
  • Nail fungus

Nordlys avails several technologies in ine platform, the differennt technology choices enable treating Hari removal, vascular lesions, skin resurfacing, skin toning & skin rejuvenation.

  • IPL targets melanin in hair and damages hair follicles
  • Frax 1940 is used for skin toning & rejuvenation
  • Nd:YAG applicator targets oxyhaemoglobin for blue veins clearance
  • Frax 1550 fractional non-ablative applicator is used for moderate scars and skin laxity improvement

Pure Energy Selection

The waveband of light from Ellipse SWT is much narrower than a typical IPL so that it has both the correct penetration depth and the maximum absorption by the target (melanin in hair, pigment in the skin or haemoglobin in blood).

The Nordlys system has patented dual mode filtration, which ensures that the light contains only the wavelengths required to perform an effective treatment & eliminates harmful wavelengths, this maximises both safety & efficacy.

2 In 1 Laser

Frax offers a choice between 1550nm or 1940nm, or both handpicks. This scalability allows you to start with one wavelength and upgrade later by adding the other one for more clinical applications.

Effective In Smallest Targets

Small lesions can be targeted & treated effectively & safely by the Nordlys unique short pulse duration that starts as low as 0.5ms.

Scalable System

Nordlys can be upgraded by different choices of applicators, this allows starting with any applicator & upgrading with more applicators later according to the demand in our patients needs.

The sub-millisecond pulse duration allows treating different sizes of vessels effectively, the treatment is easily tolerated by a “ Soft Cool Technology “ - air cooling.

Tailored Treatments

In I2PL Permanent Hair Removal, the light wave is calibrated to target melanin in the hair shaft. This energy then permanently destroys the hair root responsible for producing hair. Unlike older Intense Pulsed Light machines, I2PL features an exclusive dual mode filtering technology that eliminates potentially harmful light wavelengths that are unnecessary, reducing treatment time and maximizing your results and comfort.

The proprietary system very carefully controls the delivery of the light – the amount of light and speed of delivery is accurately tailored to your skin condition.

Is This Treatment Safe?

All Ellipse treatments are “peer-reviewed” ie independently checked by leading specialists and published. They then get approval under the EU Medical Directive, before they are performed on your skin. the I2PL hair removal is an FDA-approved treatment.

Ellipse currently has a 10-year study which was released at the 22nd World Dermatology congress, proving its permanency at 10 years post-treatment. No other laser or IPL system can make this claim.

Are There Any Risks?

Because I2PL is a light-based technology, people with darker complexions possess a higher risk of skin burns due to the higher melanin levels absorbing the light energy.

In addition, sensitive skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea and psoriasis may react adversely. In the above such cases, there may be skin redness, burning and stinging sensation, and in very rare cases, dermatitis in hypersensitive individuals.
